Burning house project (period6)

The burning house project was intended to show what an individual values the most. If my house  was ever to be on fire, the items in the photo are what i would take immediately. First, i would take my cell phone because it has all my contacts and it would be the main source of all communication. The next item i would take is my license with my car keys because in order to move around to different places, we would need a a car and the license to drive. I would also take my wallet with cash because at a time where your house is burned down, money would be really important. I would also take my school ID for identification purposes. Last is a cross because at really bad times you're going to need some faith for everything better which is represented by the cross.

Series Photo (period6)

In my series, i took pictures of flowers. All of the flowers are in focus but everything around is out of focus so the vocal point are the flowers. Also the colors of the flowers is different from the background sticks out. The photos are abstract. All the flowers aren't exactly in the middle so it has a very good composition. The colors is very vibrant. The photo has very good value because it shows the texture of every petal . it is very successful because the overall composition of every photo is well organized.

Motion Picture (period4)

In this picture you see three people. the two girls on the outside is completely still while the person in the middle is in motion. This work is abstract because its not a normal type of picture. The background and the two people on the outside is in focus but the person in the middle isn't in focus. This work is successful because it shows motion.

Awkward Photo (period6)

In this image, you see a male model in a dress staring at the viewer.  He is posing with his arm rested on the  wall. The model is right in the middle of the image so all the focus is on him. The image has a variation of value from his black dress to his pale skin. The message that this image is portraying is the awkward mood based on Diane Arbus' work. I think overall the image is pretty successful because the image has a male wearing a dress which is very awkward.

 In this picture you see a collection of different items; a lamp post, tables, chairs and other items. All the items are behind a fence which gives it overlaps. This photo would fall in the category of abstract.

 In the photo, all the items are spread around which i think makes it really successful. Also the photo has a lot of shades of gray and black for example the lap is pure black while the sky is plain gray.

This photo is taken outside but its really dark so it gives that sort of old style look. 

For my first film photo, I think it was pretty successful because of the composition and the overall look of the image.
